This Privacy Policy describes how Kurso (“the app”, “we”, “our”) handles information in connection with your use of the Kurso mobile application for Android and iOS. The app is developed and operated by Anton Stulnev (“the developer”).

1. Summary

Kurso does not require an account, login, or any personal information to use.
Kurso does not sell your data.
Kurso does not show ads.
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage metrics) provided by Google to improve quality and stability.
The app fetches currency exchange rates from a public third-party service (Frankfurter). No user data is transmitted in these requests.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics)

When the app crashes or encounters a fatal error, a crash report is automatically sent to Firebase Crashlytics. A crash report may include:

App version and build number
Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version
Language and country setting of the device
Anonymous installation identifier generated by Firebase
Crash stack trace and non-fatal exception logs
Approximate timestamp of the crash

Crash reports do not contain your name, email, contact list, photos, files, or the amounts you enter into the converter.

2.2 Usage data (via Firebase Analytics)

Firebase Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as:

App opens and session duration
Screens viewed inside the app
Country (derived from IP address by Google, IP is not stored long-term by the developer)
Device type, OS version, and app version
Anonymous Firebase installation identifier and, on Android, Advertising ID (if permitted by the user)

Firebase Analytics does not collect the currency values you type, the currencies you select, or any personally identifying information.

2.3 Data that never leaves your device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never uploaded:

The currencies you selected and the amount you last entered
Cached exchange rates
Your theme and app preferences

3. Third-party services

Kurso uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics) — Firebase Privacy, Google Privacy Policy
Frankfurter API — public exchange rate data source (frankfurter.dev). Only anonymous HTTP requests are sent; no user identifier is attached.

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing diagnostic and usage data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No special categories of data are processed.

5. Your rights

You may have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request deletion of data associated with your device
Object to processing or restrict it

Because Kurso does not collect names or email addresses, requests must include the anonymous Firebase installation ID or app version and approximate date to help us locate the data. Contact: fraggjkee@gmail.com.

You can also reset your anonymous identifiers by reinstalling the app, or, on Android, by resetting the Advertising ID in system settings.

6. Children

Kurso is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data retention

Crash reports and analytics events are retained by Google Firebase according to Firebase data retention defaults. The developer does not maintain any separate database of user data.

8. International transfers

Firebase processes data on Google infrastructure, which may be located outside your country, including the United States. Google Cloud participates in standard contractual clauses and other transfer mechanisms described in its privacy documentation.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
